Dr. Collins Otieno Odoyo is an innovation strategist, technology transfer expert, researcher, and ecosystem builder whose work focuses on turning ideas and research into solutions with practical social and economic value.
He brings experience in Business Information Systems, monitoring and evaluation, ICT for Development, innovation management, and commercialization. His work supports startups, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and industry partners by helping build stronger and more sustainable innovation ecosystems.
Dr. Odoyo serves as a Senior Lecturer and Associate Dean at the School of Computing and Informatics, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. In that role, he has contributed to research commercialization, innovation capacity building, startup mentorship, intellectual property awareness, and technology-driven community development.
He is the Coordinator of the MMUST Innovation Academy, where he helps shape programs that connect learning, research, entrepreneurship, and industry. Together with Dr. Sum Psusma Tecla and Prof. John Kuria Thuo, he contributed to “Building Innovation Ecosystems in Higher Education Institutions.”
